Looking to make a splash in the nation’s leading ski magazine, Skis.com hired Skidmore to develop an attention-grabbing print campaign. After reviewing the style of editorial and advertising that is common in SKI Magazine, we noted a consistency – beautiful, glossy photos of families on the ski hill run. So we decided to go in a different direction.
We created custom vintage travel poster-style illustrations that stood out among pages of photographs and allowed us to bring the brand’s fun personality to life. From concepts to copy and illustration, we developed a series of print ads and web graphics that visually connected the brand and helped Skis.com make a strong impact.
Results: The unique art and beautiful colors helped Skis.com stand out in a sea of similar photography and led to an increase in traffic to their website.
