The organic food market is a multi-billion-dollar industry with new products hitting shelves every day – which is why the team behind Inspired Organics (iO) knew they needed to make an impact during the brand’s nationwide launch. To compete in the crowded market, we crafted brand strategy, messaging and design for a lively brand that would resonate with the everyday organic shopper, then executed the brand on packaging for iO’s first wave of 180 products.
At the studio, every grocery trip became part of our discovery process. In order to stand out, we leaned away from the standard green-and-tan, crunchy-granola look of most organic packaging to create a brand that’s accessible to the committed and casual organics shopper. Bright colors, a playful custom font and a smart hierarchy system helped unite iO products across the entire store. And first-person research per item ensured each package would “win the aisle” in the critical struggle for consumers’ attention against similar organic and non-organic products.
The iO team loved the easy, accessible, everyday brand and identity we crafted for their new line – and in just four months, we brought it to life across a full suite of packaging that spanned the entire grocery store. The retail-ready designs prepared iO for its national launch as a storewide staple organics brand for small shops and independent grocers.
