OUR CITY’S FAVORITE
America eats 350 slices of pizza per second, but not all pies are created equal. Around these parts, there’s one kind of pizza that reigns supreme: the rectangular, square-cut, Detroit-style kind. Fervor for our city’s favorite pizza is growing across the country, which is why the folks at Family Finest asked us to create packaging for a Detroit-style take-n-bake pizza.
CHEESY, CRISPY, CRAVEABLE
Inspired by the hand-painted signage and Motown record designs of the ’70s, this pizza box borrows iconic visual language from Detroit’s past. Messaging bits like “Fresh from the 313” and “Cheesy, crispy, craveable” highlight the product’s differentiators, while large windows show off its freshness. Kraft paper adds a handmade feel and sets the product apart from its more commercial-looking competitors.
SQUARE IS NOT BORING
Our packaging work helped Family Finest land their Detroit-style take-n-bake in a major national grocer across the country. Now pizza-eating Americans everywhere have the chance to enjoy what Detroiters have been enjoying for decades—and fight over the corner pieces.
